Extra verification when your account needs it
If your account uses two-step verification, needs a new password, or signs in with a one-time code, the screen asks for exactly that and gives you somewhere to enter it.
- Choose between your authenticator app, a text message, an emailed code, or a backup code when your account offers more than one.
- Request a new code when one does not arrive.
- Start over at any point to sign in a different way.

After sign-in, the application takes you to the appropriate workspace or requested page, including an invitation you opened before signing in.

Use a different method
Continuing with Google always works on its own, even if an email and password attempt did not finish. Choosing it starts a fresh sign-in.
Helpful habits
- Use your own account and keep verification codes private.
- If a code does not arrive, request a new one rather than reusing an old message.
