Home brings together the work that needs attention and shortcuts to the areas you use most. When the lead summary is incomplete, its card explains why totals are hidden.
Open HomeThe clinic switcher shows which organization you are working in. Select a different clinic before viewing or changing its information. While a patient's record is open the switcher is locked, with a padlock in place of its arrow: select Application view first, then switch.
Home and your worklists show the work waiting for you, and opening an item takes you to the relevant area. The top bar keeps only what you use on every screen: Search, the clinic switcher, reporting an issue, your notifications, help, the theme and your account. The bell shows how many notifications you have not read and updates as they arrive: an appointment booked with you, a task assigned to you, a colleague joining, or, for a patient, a care update from the clinic. Select it to see the newest, or View all for the full history. Chat availability, Online or Away, is at the top of the Conversations inbox.
Open NotificationsYour global profile follows you into every workspace you can access.
Update your display name and save it. The account menu updates immediately, and other areas use the new name when their data is refreshed.
Select System, Light, or Dark. This preference applies across the application and is remembered on the current device.
Help is tied to the screen you are currently viewing.
Select Help in the top bar to read a plain-language overview, instructions, tips, and best practices for the current screen.
When a walkthrough is available, select Play walkthrough. The guide highlights the controls in order and can be paused or replayed.
Select View Documentation in the help panel to open the complete guide for that screen in a new documentation page.
Features appear according to your role, the active clinic, and what that clinic has configured. Confirm the active clinic first, then ask an owner or administrator to review your role.
The application confirms your identity, working context, and available areas before showing the workspace. This keeps the sidebar stable and prevents a partial menu from appearing first.
Yes. Use the clinic switcher to move between organizations. Information and permissions change with the selected clinic.
Yes. Whenever a dropdown, a search with suggestions, or a menu is open, Arrow Down and Arrow Up move the highlight, Enter chooses the highlighted option, and Escape closes the list without choosing anything. Typing in a search box keeps working while the list is open.
No. The form for the new record opens on top of the one you were filling in, which stays open underneath with everything you entered. Saving brings you back with the new record chosen, and cancelling brings you back with nothing changed. If the record already exists, the form offers to use the existing one instead of making a second.
Your profile image comes from your secure sign-in account. When one is available, Global Clinic displays it automatically and falls back to your initials if it cannot load.
Use Report issue in the top bar. Include only the details needed to understand the problem and avoid unnecessary patient information in screenshots.
Launch a clinic with the guided setup, keep its profile accurate, invite colleagues, and choose settings that match the way your organization works.
