Booking mode and video visits
Let verified patients confirm instantly or have everyone submit a request. Video visits are off by default; switch them on to offer video. Switching them on is necessary but not sufficient: a visit type must also offer video, and a doctor needs video hours that include it.
What patients can actually book
Whether a visit can be booked depends on four things set in different places: the platform release, this clinic's telemedicine setting, whether a visit type offers that modality, and whether weekly hours cover it. When those disagree, a notice at the top of this page names the missing piece and links to the section that owns it. It never blocks saving, because a part-built schedule is a normal step.
Weekly hours
Weekly hours are how a doctor is attached to a way of seeing patients. Each schedule names one doctor, in person at a location or by video, and optionally the visit types it covers (none listed means every compatible visit type). A doctor is offered for video visits only through video hours, so a video-only visit type needs at least one doctor with video hours and video visits switched on. Use Add video hours, or open this page from a coverage error, and the new schedule is preset for the modality and visit type that still need a doctor. Use the schedule lens to focus a large clinic calendar without changing saved coverage. Every window represents one provider's exclusive time.
Clinic locations
Create stable clinic locations with a code, time zone, and address before assigning in-person schedules. A location in use cannot be deactivated or deleted until its weekly schedules are reassigned.
Conflict-safe calendar
After appointment settings are published, prepare the calendar from Clinical release. New clinics without appointment history can complete the durable preparation in the app. Clinics with existing appointments require platform operations to review and protect those bookings. Progress is checkpointed and can be resumed.
Blackout dates
List dates when no visits are offered, such as holidays or closures.
Clinical release readiness
Clinic administrators can re-check tenant scheduling governance and review safe blocker names, visit-type/provider counts, the versioned capability inventory, and the separate platform clinical telemedicine hold. Resolve setup blockers opens the configuration workspace. Ready scheduling governance never overrides a disabled platform release gate.
Add a clinic location from its availability window
An in-person availability window's location list ends with Add clinic location. The new location joins these settings and is chosen for that window. Like every other change here, it is kept only when you save the settings.
Helpful habits
- Create every physical location first, then add provider schedules and narrow them to specific visit types only when needed.
- Keep a minimum notice so last-minute bookings do not surprise the team.
- Re-check Clinical release after changing visit types, provider coverage, or scheduling policy.
Tips
- An empty visit-type selection means all compatible active visit types; selecting chips limits that schedule.
- Team shows a Weekly hours link for every doctor, which opens this page focused on that doctor's schedules.
- Weekly hours alone do not open booking. The scheduling revision, eligible provider coverage, governed visit type, and conflict-safe calendar marker must all be ready.
- The tenant telemedicine setting does not override the platform clinical-release gate. Existing video appointments remain visible, but they are not joinable while that gate is disabled.
